Caroline Morrison
“What a wonderful day which went in so quickly. The healing I received allowed me to become more fully presence in the moment… To be able to practice what we learned was also a positive experience and helps to retain the information that we have been given.

I now better understand the power of Reiki and more fully understand the responsibility that caries with giving Reiki and will do my up-most to at all times be responsible in practice.”

“Very informative and beneficial. Also very interesting finding out how others felt after having Reiki.”

Case Study

Name of client: ECLIPS LITE

Name of Activity:

How well do you think the activity went?
The facilitator started the session with a question and answer session lead by the clients. Clients were given information about Reiki, its origins and literal meaning and encouraged to participate in discussion. This helped to put clients at ease which is an important factor in developing relationships with our client group. Clients were then given instruction in techniques for self meditation which involved learning to control their breathing and attempt to channel energy through their bodies. The simple techniques shown to clients were particularly useful in that they could easily transfer the skills they had learned into everyday life.

What was the highlight?
Clients commented on how relaxed they feel and were surprised at how easy the techniques were to put into practice. Clients also spoke about how they would use these techniques during periods of heightened anxiety or when having difficulty sleeping, issues that our clients experience often. It was also a lot of fun as clients were encouraged to practice on each other. This is important to promote peer support and trust in each other.

What impact do you think this activity had on the participants?
This was a very positive experience for all of the clients who attended and this was reflected in their evaluation of the session. Clients spoke about feeling relaxed and were surprised at how such simple exercises could promote positive mental well being.

What impact did it have on you?
The positive feedback from clients is a good indicator as to how a session went and this session certainly appeared to promote a positive response.  The desire of clients to experience a further session in which to learn more about relaxation techniques highlighted the positive impact of the session.
